retroflexed and retroverted uterus, ovarian cyst and periods

I've always had a retroverted uterus but at a scan to check on an ovarian cyst it is also retroflexed now...

My periods previously would last 5-7 days and days 2-3 being very heavy where I would need to change sanitary protection/empty moon cup hourly and being painful and then tailing off. But now the bleeding seems to be all over the place varying between light bleeding and heavy bleeding. Today is day 7 and I'm bleeding heavy again and in a lot of pain... not enough to warrant a gp/hospital visit but I've taken paracetamol and codeine and its taken the edge off but still hurts.

Has anyone got any experience of this?

as far as I know the position of the uterus makes not a jot of difference to how much blood loss there is.

Are you 40+ cos if you are this could be peri menopause.

No I've got a couple of years before I'm 40...
