weird pain/itchiness in armpit???

Have had some discomfort/pain in my right armpit for a while now (months)
Went to dr and he examined me and said strain/postural issue.
Except now it's hurting down my inner upper arm and is also itchy!
Any ideas?
Should I go back to dr?

Is your gland up? Have a feel, we have a gland in our armpits. I know this because my right one causes discomfort quite regularly. I just assume it's my immune system doing its job somewhere in the body.
