Son being sick all day

Early hours of this morning (well, about 5am) my 8 year old son was sick at the side of his bed, he then tried to get back to sleep but ended up going downstairs to watch tv.

Before he had his breakfast (about 8am) he was sick again in the hallway (on route to the toilet!).

I gave him toast for his breakfast thinking it would be easier on his stomach than cereal and he was fine until about 10am where he was quite violently sick...again on route to the toilet .

I put him in the bath, got him to rest etc and he fell asleep at 1pm (very unusual for him to fall asleep during the day) and didn't wake up until 4pm. I made him some tea at 6pm and 5 minutes later he was very violently sick in the toilet (actually sounded like a tap being turned on full blast!).

He's not had anything to eat since, just drinks (which he keeps down ok) and he's now gone to bed.

No other symptoms apart from he's a bit drowsy...simple stomach bug? My mum seems to think I should phone the doctor...

Has he eaten anything that may have done this? Either way i think you should call a doctor, its what there there for.

not really, we had some kievs last night and we all felt a bit dodgy after them but me and younger son are fine today...surely we would all be still ill if it was the kievs?

A lot of bugs going round.I wouldn't bother with a doctor yet.Especially as he is keeping fluids down. maybe leave it until midday tomorrow before giving him anything else to eat.
We have all had it here!

How is he now?
