Frau, I think private dental in the UK is just as expensive. In fact, I think it's more expensive. I'm in the process of spending £500 for a root canal and crown. I'm in the process because I haven't gone back for the crown yet. The root canal was £200 and the crown will be £350. So, £550 is about $1000. And the root canal was on the NHS (though I have to go private if I don't want a crown made of amaterial that won't corrode in my mouth .

Give me a US dentist any day.
