How can I best replace what i lost through 4 days of sickness and not eating?

I took to my bed friday night not feeling well and spent the weekend alternately shaking with severe cold and then running a temperature of between 40 and 41. Sickness and servere headache but no upset tummy. Monday and tuesday were better but I still couldn't eat and only drank water.
Today i feel as though i have turned a corner after eating half a jacket potato last night and drinking a bottle of the old fashioned Lucozade that i remember having as a poorly child.
I still have a horrid cough and now I have the upset stomach (the anti biotics I guess) but I need to get my strength back and also I am so so dry.
Can anyone suggest the best sort of things please to eat and drink because I dont really fancy anything but know thta I should. So far today I've had a kiwi fruit, half a slice of toast (which tasted like cardboard and took as long to chew perhaps because my saliva is lacking???) and an apple.
I need my strength back. I feel horrible.
Please please does anypone have any advice for me?

TIA

Boiled egg/omelette/scrambled, porridge, soup.
All my favourite things when I've been laid low.
sorry to hear you've been unwell I hope you recover soon
xx

Avodaco, if you like it - packed with energy and vitamins.

Small-sized pasta just plain boiled with a bit of butter - I love that when I'm feeling ill. Or porridge, with milk and honey, will give you slow-release energy and not be too hard to eat.

Its not just about replenishing lost energy but getting your system used to food again!!! i would advise rice/scrambled egg/broth type soup if you don't think you can handle full soup and plenty more lucozade for your salt and sugar levels.
Don't have too much milk/cheese as that can sometimes aggravate your tummy. Hope you feel better soon

thanks everyone. The only one out of those that appeals is the avocado and i dont have one in the house! Sods law huh? DH (bless him) made me scrambled egg monday night and I think I ate two mouthfuls but it just wasn't going down very well. I'm normally a really good eater, i love my food and probably eat too much although i do normally exercise a lot, but I cant seem to kickstart my body this time. Perhaps I'll ask DH to make me something again as food made by someone else is always so much nicer than food you've cooked yourself isn't it?
I've just opened another bottle of the old lucozade as well. Can I have too much of that or it is okay if I were to drink, say, two bottles tonight?
