Awful Period Type Pains 2 weeks After C Section

Have recovered really well but today have started to get really bad period type pains and although the blood loss had slowed right down it's now increased again. Ds1 feeding the same as usual.
Is it possible I have just overdone things or has anyone else had anything similar?

just answeed your own question!! Probably over done! I had this and was definately linled to being foolish - however, if you are worried go see someone professional!

Still get the pains nearly 2 yrs on if I do lots.

Yup, I had this after mine, it was certainly when I pushed things and did too much....you should rest up and take it as a warning to calm down and take it easy. You have had major surgery!

Have you got enough help? Have you got people around you?

i'm with ipod, i had awful cramps post cs. have a word with your hv but unless it's accompanied with a temp it's unlikely to be infection at this stage. i still get them too if i lift something heavy. a cs is major abdominal surgery and i think we forget that

Am going for a warm bath in a bit and have taken pain killers which I had stopped taking

MagNOlia !! Swept the kitchen floor?!

Actually......I picked dd1 up to put her on the loo a week after my section, and it had exactly the same effect. Plus, my bleeding and moderate cramps seem to come back every couple of days still (usually after feeding) and it'll be 3 weeks on Friday since my section.

I guess the blood flow slows down when we do....not easy though, I agree...

my mw told me NOT to hoover, NOT to dust, NOT to take the bins out.... for the 1st 3 weeks i had difficulty picking up ds. you don't realise how many ab muscles you use in day to day life
