Is this really what teething can do?

Had a weird day with DD (25 weeks) today, shes been really clingy and crying if I go out of her sight, not drinking any milk either.

Then gave her lunch at 12 put her in pushchair and walked her to sleep from 1-3. Woke her up at 3 and she spectalulary {sp?} vomitted loads, gave her some milk and she was sick again so put it down to a backwards step thinking it was her reflux rearing its ugly head again.
Gave her some tea (sweet potato with loads of milk and no lumps!!) at 4 and she hadn't even had half and she was REALLY sick so much she couldn't catch her breath and went blue!!! Grabbed her and lent her forward and slapped her back and she was sick again! Then gasped for air and seem OK.
Rang GPs and literally ran up there! By the time we got there she seem fine all smiles and raspberries, typical!
GP has put it down to teething but was really nice and said bring her straight back if any probs?!

Maybe I'm being dumb but surely teething can't cause that can it?

My ds is often sick when he is teething, but not to that extent. I think its mainly the bad cough he gets at the same time which makes him sick. Id just keep a close eye. How is she now?

Shes asleep in bed seems settled and bright enough when not being sick!

Def seems to bright to be ill & not running a temp at all

dd2 and me are just getting over this sickness and diahreoh bug thats going round.

Maybe it is teethung, I blamed everything my ds had on teething in the first year. They do seem to be spectacularly sick when they are little! Does she have bright red cheeks? A sure sign, that and the mounds of dribble!

Yes she must be teething!

Yes def got all the other classic signs of teething: red cheecks, MOUNDS of dribble (6 soaking bibs today no less!), knawing everything and two definate white bumps on bottom gum!

PFSM should be Its December now no gwtting away from it! Gald you're better!

Sounds like teething, hope shes settled now and you have a clam night! If she is disturbed we always find medised is enough to guarantee a good night sleep - works wonders!

Welcome to my world! DD started teething at 8 weeks and had all the signs for AGES but no teeth then 2 weeks ago suddenly wouldn't eat, diarohea and spectacular projectile vomiting. Completely snotty! Wouldn't let me put her down for a minute. Was a nightmare. Was like that for a week and had to have her on diluted bottles for a few days as that was all that would stay down. Then 2 teeth appeared amd we've had a bliss full 2 weeks of happy baby until yesterday when cheeks are back red, today won't eat, can't settle to sleep, runny nose, runny bottom and knawng on anything and everything. GAAAAHHHHHHHHHH! If the projectile vomiting appears again..... good job we have laminate floors is all I can say.

Yes medised does do wonders as it helps clear up the snuffly nose too. Plus knocks them out cold! Not that I'm recommending it as run of the mill. Gave dd calpol this am and then held out using calgel all day till 5.45 when I couldn't take the winging any more and gave some more!

My DD also had reflux, and I can totally confirm the spectucular puking was definately a sign of teething with her (amoungst other symptoms). It's not so much the teething as the reflux really...

i think it's also the fact that they get snotty and swallow all that yuck which is bound to make you want to be sick!
