I don't get migraines very - know I def haven't had one since we moved to Budapest and that was over 2 years ago. But got one yesterday morning - took 2 nurofen as soon as I realised and think I managed to stop it becoming too bad.

Woke up at 5am this morning with a bad headache - took 2 nurofen but they took ages to work and I did think I would be sick as well at one point. Thankfully DH was here and was able to rearrange his morning so he could take DS to school. Have just woken back up and feel fine now.

Have no idea what triggers them as they are so far apart.

Wonder if it's a sign of menopause? Started getting them at 11 when starting puberty so suppose it makes sense that shifting hormone levels could trigger them again.

Slightly panicking now as want to try IVF again in Jan/Feb.

Don't even know why I posted really! Nothing anyone can do!

BudaBauble I also started getting migraines when puberty strted, after about a year or so they stopped. Then when I was pregnant with dd had them again - worse than labour.
I have concluded that they may be hormone based and worry occasionaly that they start again as a bonus when I am menopausal. Acuouncture helped but find it too costly at the mo.
I have occasionaly had pmt from mid month onwards - you could be stressed by Xmas as well.
Bath and an early night sound like a good idea - hope you feel better soon

Last night's migraine was all in the back of my neck and up into back of my head. then my neck was aching today. So I got an appointment with my chiropracter and the difference is fantastic. Feel so much lighter. He said my neck was really bad - very stiff. He clicked it and popped it. Scary stuff.

Seeing him again next week and he said I shoudl try and see someone each week I am away over Xmas. Hopefully it will help.
