only one very sore swollen neck gland

What on earth is this? All other glands are perfectly fine except under my left ear. My neck is swollen to the point you can see a difference between sides and it hurts!

I don't feel ill. Do I go to my GP.
I'm a bit worried.

It's just your immune system doing it's job. Not feeling ill is a good thing.

Just see how it goes and if it persists your body might need some help but right now I wouldn't worry.

Or if it happens after eating it's a blocked salivary gland which is great fun. I prod and poke mine when it happens to try get the crap out.
