eyelashes falling out

anyone experienced this?
I have a "bald" patch on one eye where a few have fallen out in one place...
I use eyelash curlers but have done for about 20 yrs and never had this.
should I go to the doctors? Will they grow back - anyone know?

could it be lice or mites? don't know if they cause them to fall out

Have you pulled them out with a clag of mascara maybe?

possibly I suppose... just hope they grow back it looks well wierd at the moment.

Yes, I had it.

Had a complete freak out about it. I had just split up from a boyfriend who lost every single hair on his body (I mean every single one) and it had started with the eyelashes. I thought I had caugth something nasty from him.

Went to my GP twice, and to another doctor for a second opinion. They thought I was mad.

Went to see a specialist at Lister Hospital. The appointment lasted about 7mins, he told me there was absolutely nothing wrong with me and that my bf probably had alopatia which is genetic and so rare that the likelyhood of two people who know each other having it is practically zero. Charged me £75 for this. Cured it on the spot
