We have been living at my mums while waiting to be housed for the last 9 weeks.

Dd has been sleeping in a damp, wet & mouldy room most of the walls are like this, we did not notice until it has got worse & we moved some furniture out of the room to find mould all on the wall & the wallpaper coming off!

I have just read This about damp/mouldy rooms

Dd has been poorly for about 4 weeks now i have taken her back & forth to the doctors for them to say it is just flu, last time i went i said i was worried about her breathing because she was weezing & also she has a skin irritation on her head where she keeps itching.

Myself & dd have had bad breathing, flu like symptoms, dry cough (mine is very bad) colds & dd has been sleeping alot.

I am now so so worried after reading that link that something is going to be wrong with dd & her lungs it is worse for children than adults.

We have nowhere to sleep now, we only had 1 bedroom in the first place now nothing at all, what the hell can we do? & what should i do with dd go to docs or hospital?

i would go to the council and explain your situation again - perhaps get a doctors letter explaining your dd's symptoms and print out the info you found on mould. (DO NOT expect them to be overly helpful!!) but its worth a try.

i was living a damp flat (more than half way up the wall in every room) when dd1 was about 2 so i know what you're going through.

does your mum own the house? if not get onto the landlord and get environmental health in.

Thanks for the advice, the council don't give 2 hoots about my childrens health that is what is so sick about all this.

I have doctors on Monday for dd it was the first appointment they had.
