Itching bottom, originally threadworms but ovexed and still there HELP!

Gah, at my wits end here.

Had terrible itching bottom issues a while ago. found live two threadworms and treated with Ovex and obsessive washing/damp dusting etc. All the family took medication despite no symptoms and then two weeks later it was repeated. It definitely greatly helped and got rid of them for a while but then about a week or so after the second dose I felt the same itching feeling coming back so went to gp. She said to repeat Ovex again in the same way initially given (one dose then another two weeks later). Did this, again so did rest of the family. Again more sheet cleaning, knickers and pjs in bed etc etc. It seemed to help. Again a week or so after last dose of this the itching feeling came back again. Haven't yet seen another threadworm since the initial two when it was bad but when it was really awful I didn't see signs other than that. Having done a lot of googling I found a lot of people seem to have had their gp prescribe one dose a week apart for three weeks, so then did this (with the family joining in for the first two doses then I felt bad they had taken so much and got worried it might be bad for them so I took the last dose myself only).

So I've taken four doses of Ovex two weeks apart followed by three doses of Ovex a week apart.

The last dose I took was last Friday (4 days ago) and this morning the itching has been bad, just like when it was initially. The itching has been there a little for the past two or three weeks on and off despite taking Ovex.

So I was wondering I suppose if this much Ovex can somehow cause an itching bottom (as I've taken more than one course), if it could not work so I'm still inundated with the blighters, if it could be something else (it definitely feels the same sort of itch, doesn't mean it is though) or what. I'm at a loss and when I went to my gp she didn't seem to know what to do when Ovex didn't work.

Should add in the only one to have ever shown any symptoms.

Do you think it could be psychological or a sensitive bottom post Ovex? Might be worth trying Vagisil anti itch cream and or wipes.

I have sensitive skin already so it wouldn't surprise me if it was just sensitive post ovex, but I wasn't sure if that was a 'thing' that could happen. I googled and couldn't find anything.
