How long does it take them to go completely? DD's are all crusted over now but wondering how long I have to put up with other people staring at my adorable spotty daughter.

well they last quite a while. I think it was a fortnight before the scabs went of and they looked pink/reddish. Then maybe another 2 weeks??!

coddycodcod · 14/05/2004 12:27

about a wekk
pale scars for ages

Branster · 14/05/2004 12:49

the scabs should fall off within a week , don't worry about the other people staring. the most important thing is she doesn't scar because then people will be staring for the rest of her life. what's 2 weeks in the great scheme of things?!

Welshmum - have you tried aloe vera gel on your dd's spots? We did with our dd (she had chickpen pox 2-3 weeks ago) and they disappeared REALLY quickly. The sites where they all were have faded into almost nothing too. Highly recommended. Bought it from the chemist's.
