Medised question for 10month old

My ds (and me) developed a cold last weekend. DH caught it midweek, at the same time ds & I got extremely congested and felt like crap (perfect timing dh!) Ds has been on medised the last 3 days and I have stopped giving it to him today, but he is sooooooo congested and it is streaming out his nose (yellow). This didn't happen at all the last few days and really shows how helpful the Medised was. He won't let me near him with the 'snot sucker' I bought last time.

As I've been using it for 3 days now I was going to give it a break in the day and just save a dose for tonight (and tomorrow night if needed). But I'm really tempted to continue on it today.

What do you think? These warnings are on there for a reason.. but I hate seeing him so poorly (no temp atm). Want to avoid going to the docs as I don't think there's anything he can do (other than prescribe antibiotics which I want to avoid). Any homeopathic advice? (asks she after doping up her son with antihistamine!) Many thanks

Karen,
Poor you, We are in the same boat here and dd has an ear infection as well!!
I know what you mean about the medised its hard when they are so poorly.
We have been trying olbas oil on dd's bedclothes at night and a small amount (one drop) on her trousers during the day, I quite like the smell and it seems to clear everything up.
Then you can save the medised to help your ds sleep tonight
Hope this helps, feel better soon

Thanks loujay. I've put some baby vics on his chest and top lip, but it's not helping much. Will dig out the olbas oil and give that a go.

thanks
