lots of washing, serious hygience protocol not sure about treating babies though
You can get rid of them without meds though.

dd recently had them, we just treated her and ds1, on the basis that dp and I had no symptoms and we thought that if the dts had problems we would have seen it in their nappies, All clear now. But if you do want to treat your baby I am sure that you can.

dd1 had them back in sept dosed everyone with pripsen sachets damp dusted everywhere as eggs are microscopic and hoovered alot [eggs can live in house dust]changed beds and got the kids to wear underwearin bed at night as wellas pjs also got them to wipe their bots first thing in the morning with a wet wipe [worms lay their eggs at the anus during the night]handwashing and fingernails cleaned after every trip to the loo. got all this info off other mnettersit worked but still check bots every now and then even if no itching

Grapefruit seed extract from the helath food shop.

search on forums here as well..worms have been well covered

laundrylover · 04/12/2006 22:14

Oh what a pain in the bum Friz (sorry, couldn't resist)! Seriously tho I hope ss gets rid of them soon and that the four of you stay clear. Apparently Pripsen is not the retch inducing powder stirred in milk that it was when we were young, you can just get a sucky sweet!

Go and ask your local chemist. I think you can use Ovex (the banana flavoured liquid) from quite an early age.

you can grapefruit seed extract from here. this is where we get ours from. we use it for everything - disenfectant, in shampoo, in my face wash and shower gel, thrush, athletes foot you name it! its just over £12 but for a big 100ml bottle and as we use it a lot it works out cheaper to buy the bigger bottles. it lasts ages cos you only have to add a few drops to water. grapefruit seed extract
