Where do I start?
So fed up with myself, suffer from health anxiety but mostly keep it under control. Tonight however I'm in a state.
A few night sweats plus pain in my neck at the front where glands are equals lymphoma.
Of course there are other factors, I have an auto immune disease (imflammatory arthritis) plus looks like I'm hormonal and in the perimenopausal stage. But I chat help thinking the worse.
I have a doctors appt tomorrow but just need some mumsnet love for the time being
Xx

I would suggest that you might be helped by taking a Mindful course. Given your history it is likely that you could be referred by your GP.
It helps with anxiety.
What your mind is doing is beating you up. We can control our minds to prevent negative thoughts. Because after all what use are they?
You die if you worry and you die if you don't worry, so worrying does seem a bit of a waste of time really.
Also I think if your anxiety gets to this level, then you need some medication to help you calm down. Beta blockers will help with anxiety and don't make you drowsy.
I am so sorry that you feel like you do because it is miserable. Exercise would help but possibly the only thing you could do is swim.

Hugs, as you need them. Hope tomorrow goes well and you get some help.

Thank you
Is that like cognitive therapy? I had that years ago and I understand why I'm like this and what happens to me when I'm feeling it but it doesn't stop me worrying.
The problem is all these symptoms are very real and they could be my arthritis or hormones but I don't seem to have any answers.
X

I'm like you it's horrible. I've convinced myself I've had many things & so far I don't have any of them! What time is your appointment? I wud imagine there's a more common explanation for it.

It was this morning. She is doing blood tests to see if my arthritis is flaring but it never shows in blood tests anyway.
I didn't mention the lymphoma as I felt like an idiot but she didn't seem concerned x

Blood tests came back ok, but still odd aches and pains in my neck.
Can't work out if it's my arthritis or something I should be worried about x

I can sympathise.
I am also, peri menopausal and it's causing me all sorts of awful symptoms.
I'm now taking menopace plus and they are really helping!
Also had bloods done that have all come back as normal - which is great but depressing as I still feel crappy :(
Hope you feel better soon
