I have posted about this on another thread but am feeling a little down about it today. Ds has been absent from pre school for two weeks with tonsilitus and a chest infection type thing. We saw gp for second time on sat (he has something called nasal drip? - must google it later) and got new medicine which doesnt seem to be doing much. Anyway he was due to go back today and then he was sick this morning due to all the coughing. Anyway took him to school to explain situation as am worried that I would get into trouble for time off and they said to bring him home as they had rehearsal for scool play today and prob be best to try again tomoro as its anormal session for him. He is also not going to be at school Thurs/Fri as we are away (it has been planned for some time. But now am worried cos i mentioned about getting into trouble that Im gonna have social services on my doorstep or something. I know its silly but I do worry a lot in general anyway. I also have had the same as ds but not as extreme and feel extremely tired and run down which is not helping so I have phoned in sick today at work.

really sorry you are both unwell.

dont worry aout pre school,i got told by the edusation department that it isnt necessary to school a child until the age of 5 (this came about because we are thinking about home schooling dd)

and surely its better to keep your ds at home if hes not well, the pre school should be thankful to you for not taking him when hes ill and passing it around!!

and just think,if your feeling crappy at the moment,so is ds.

dont worry anout school, you wont have social services banging on your door, snuggle up on the sofe with ds and take it easy today!he might be better tomorrow.

xx

Thankyou, I just needed to hear from someone other than dp and mymum that I am being silly. In fact my nan said that about it not being compulsory for school under the age of 5. I have just had a lovely bath and am going to make us a nice sandwich and watch a film with ds so hopefully will feel better. thanks again xx

PS Love ur name (made me laugh as was a huge buffy fan!)
