Hi Guys,
I saw my gynaecologist yesterday - to talk through the results of my hycosy scan.

It showed a small 4mm polyp in the uterus and the fluid spilled into my tubes right up to the top but didn't come out at the end.
Yesterday was to talk through the scan results - she asked if I had had a letter - I hadn't, she explained that it said she wanted to do a laparoscopy and possibly remove my tubes- at which point I burst into tears.
Im booked in in two weeks time - she has agreed to leave my tubes but to try and repair any damage to them.
My question to you lovely ladies is :

  • has anyone else had this done?
  • does it cause damage to fertility?
  • how reliable is the hycosy?
Has anyone had an inconclusive / blocked tube result but conceived naturally? She says the polyp is tiny and might come away naturally however she is going to do a polyectomy as well.

I feel pushed into a corner and the operation feels invasive. She has then said that I should go forward for IVF. I 35, ovulating normally and TTC for 1.5 years... help /advice ... gratefully received :(
