I've got a sore throat (sort of feels like after you've gagged up bile...sort of burnt) and my tongue hurts too (again a bit like I've burnt it on hot food). It's bl**dy miserable but I don't want to go to the drs only to be told it's nothing.

Please, anyone any ideas or solutions?

Burnt mouth can be herpetic infection
First stage of new coldsore infection, a dentist told me, though I am dubious
I had thi sonce and food started tasting so bad - dairy in particular - that I almost gagged
Goes away then seems to return about a week later, less bad,, then goes.

I swear by Oraldene mouthwash. It's bright pink, nuclear strength and kills infection. Get it from a phramacy.

tonsilitus is rife ATM so it's probably that.
