Confessions in mooncuppery

After a tentative start, four months in, I think we are sorted. It's very comfortable.
I got up,had a bath and followed my usual ablution rituals, ate my breakfast and left home for work before remembering I had my period.

Shall I say my mooncup was err...rather full.

I've just finished third cycle of using it. Was a bit worried after SuzyWong said she had a difficult third use. It was fab! (Well, as fab as sanitary products can get!)

Must have been in for about 12 hours.

Yes, I think I am quite surprised at how I'm coming round to it.

I've been trying a different fold this month and I'm much happier with it, I've been using a punch-down fold instead of a c-fold. It's easier to keep folded until it's all the way in and it doesn't ping open with quite the same force. A big thanks to whoever it was who posted the link about folding , it was a while ago and I've forgotten who it was. I don't think I'd go back to tampons now.

Thsi is the first month I can honestly say I have been 100% happy.

I had a friend over this weekend, she's lovely but can be a little prudish sometimes. I asked her very tentatively if she had heard of the mooncup?
"Yeeeeeeees" she says looking at me uncertainly. "Why your not thinking of using them are you?" She say, genuinely shocked.
"Why wouldn't you?" I asked her.
"God No" she shivered dramatically. "Seems a bit Herdy Gerdy to me"
I left it then.

First month using mone, seems OK, not half as fiddly as I thought it would be TBH. Needs changing overnight but once, as opposed to twice or three times before, so much better.
Quite happy with it.

LOVE mine now. About 6 months into it.

I cut the stem completely off. It was sore.
