"It will be the tail end of my period and I'd like to know if I should attend the appointment or reschedule". Easy peasy.

i had the same problem when i was due to have an internal,i telephoned and told receptionist and she told me they probably wouldnt do it but to come anyway. She lied ! not only did consultant examine me ,they also asked me to let trainee do it too ,i was very reluctant but the sister there said "they all have to learn somehow " so i agreed.Afterwards they gave me the biggest sanitary towel you would find but worst of all it had no sticky tape on the back and i only had bikini briefs on !!!!i had hysterectomy 3 weeks later !!

Please tell sad old me...

What is a Mooncup?

I've heard of a Rabbit, I know all about Ringing, but Mooncups have passed me by!

MrsJohnCuSackFullOfPresents · 30/11/2006 23:24

oh no squirm at the word pleasuring

I would ask if they need to reschdule. might depend on what you're going for as to whether you need to or not

VeniVidiVickiQV · 30/11/2006 23:25

Nothing like a rabbit - thats for sure!

Ring and ask - all consultants have secretaries. Ring clinic and ask to either speak to consultants secretary or the consultant.

They are just people.

fortyplus · 30/11/2006 23:26

I've recently had a gynie problem and the consultant did tell me to arrange appts for times when I wasn't bleeding. Which was a bit difficult as that was why I went to see him in the first place!

VeniVidiVickiQV · 30/11/2006 23:27

I know someone who had the same experience with a woman.....

He was the guy that also introduced me to the phrase "Wizards Sleeve" when retelling the story

fortyplus · 30/11/2006 23:37

Oh pleeeeeeeeeeease!!!

I thought I was a woman of the world!

What is a Mooncup?

What is a Wizard's Sleeve???? Does it have a string of pearls????!!!!

VeniVidiVickiQV · 30/11/2006 23:47

Mooncup is the alternative to sanitary towels and tampax.

Wizards Sleeve is a term for a fanny like a bucket.

fortyplus · 01/12/2006 00:07

oh - I've deffo got Wizard's sleeve, then!!

fortyplus · 01/12/2006 00:11

But I still don't know about mooncups - sorry to be so thick but where do you put them? On the inside or the outside? Do they work? What are they made of?

Mooncups They're fab.

fortyplus · 01/12/2006 08:27

ItsTheThoughtThatCounts - thank you for that! I can't believe I've never come across them!
It's very much what I imagined it would be - I just had to see for myself!
I think I'll give it a try - now that my gynie problems have been sorted out I'd probably get along fine - before that I would've needed a Moonbucket
