Dark Red/Blue/Purple Gums?

Hiya,
I was pulling faces at myself today in the mirror (as you do! ) and noticed the bottom of my gums, where it meeets the lips is very reddy purpley - just under my teeth is normal and pink. What would cause that? My gums are healthy, and so are teeth - went to dentist only a month or so ago... they arent itchy or anything, just at the bottom very very dark

Thanks xxx

not something dental, something health-y

It's normal isn't it?

dunno - the very bottom is a totally different colour to where the bottom of the teeth are... only had it once before
