is this chicken pox?

think dd has chicken pox. (aged 2.6)she has watery blisters all over her back, one or two behind ears and one on forehead, one on stomach, none on legs or arms. she hasnt been ill in the last week and is fighting fit, but they def seem like chicken pox is described. anyone got a pic of them..and our docs is closed this afternoon!

i have had it (being preg, am bit concerned)

she hasnt been in contact with anyone that i am aware of. but obv has if it is that!

my son had chicken pox last week and you would never had known. not ill one little bit - if anything more bubbly than usual.. had one on is neck and one on his back. also they wernt watery with a head. he had lots on his head though. thats the only the dr could tell what they were.

shouldn't be a problem in pregnancy of you have had it yourself. And it is only really the first 3 months I think, or the very last few days where there may be a concern. If she has it - you have already been exposed anyway.

Sounds very much like chicken pox, if you are sure you have had it then don't worry about being pg.
If she's been in close contact with anyone the couple of days before the spots came out then it may have been passed on so all you could do is warn those people. you weren't to know!

oo that pic is bad! she only has them widespread at mo and not really read-rimmed but quite big, like a gnat bite and really raised and water filled. basically blisters. only just complained of her back 'hurting here' and pointed directly to a burst one. can i give her antihistamine?

Yes you can use an antihistamine, calpol if shes feverish or feeling unwell and calamine lotion/cream for the itch

yep antihistimine is fine - piriton or something similar.

sh*t been in contact with my friend's little girl who's having chemo. i need to get this confirmed by doc b4 i worry her. oh no...
