Has anyone had carpal tunnel ops on their wrists? - if so how long did it take you to recover? I'm due to have both wrists done (not at same time!) in the next month or so as I developed CTS just after DS was born and we're trying to work out how useless or not I will be in terms of looking after DS and also planning my return to work from mat leave (currently on AML). DH work are reluctant to let him have any time off as another member in his team will be on paternity leave at the same time and we don't have family locally to help so its turning in to a bit of a nightmare. Will I be useless for a day or two or is it longer whats people's experience???

my mum had this done.

TBH I think you should have some help afterwards esp. if you're having both hands done, you might feel a bit weak.

Hi thanks for the info - we will keep putting pressure on DH work to at least let him work from home a bit its useful to know what the reality is all I've heard is vague 'could be up to six weeks'
