Has anyone felt quite ill after a minor operation?

I had a mole removed a couple of years ago - very minor surgery with just a local anesthetic - I was in and out in under an hour and I was planning to go back to work afterwards. But as I was driving to work I started feeling completed exhausted so I went home and slept for most of the rest of the day. And then for the next couple of days I felt nauseous, had diarrhoea and felt really run down and exhausted.

I've got to have another mole removed in a couple of weeks and I mentioned to the doctor about the reaction I had last time and he seemed very surprised and said he'd never heard of that before after a minor operation.

I just wondered if anyone else had experienced it, and if there was a reason for it. If I knew what had caused it I might be able to prevent it happening again.

The only reaction I had from a local was when I had scalp biopsies done for hair loss. They use adrenaline when they inject & after about 20 mins I was walking along & felt really woozy. I had the same reaction after an injection at the dentit for a filling. They used an injection the next time that didn't contain adrenaline & I had no side effect. I don't know if they could use a different local injection for a mole removal. The only thing it might have been was that it was coincidence & you were coming down with a bug at the same time.,
