What's wrong with my feet???

A few months ago my heels started hurting when I stand up after being sleeping, later they additionally hurted after any period of inactivity, but now they are hurting even when I'm in bed.

The pain is similar to having a bad bruise and being hit on it. Is's getting worse rather than better, any one with a similar problem that could throw some light into the matter?

TIA

Hi Chandra. Have you tried stretching them. Standing on tiptoes. Does exercise ease the discomfort?

Could be what they call Policeman's ball!

Nerve endings get squashed when you are on your feet and then they 'plump' up again when you are off your feet and hurt when you stand again.

Sufferers tend to be either on their feet all the time...policemen, nurses etc... perhaps not in the best of shoes, and those who are overweight.

Does the same happen when you have been in a car for a while too?

See your GP...he will put your mind at ease. xxx

It happens everywhere, as long as I stop moving.

Wonder about Policeman's ball... I don't think I walk enough for that, I live in my Crocs whenever I'm at home and have a very strong policy about wearing comfortable shoes and, although I'm not the slimest person in the world I'm stil within a healthy BMI range (That I would have to leave clear! )

I will make an appointment, but someway I think that as I'm not bleeding I will be sent home with the advice to have lots of fresh air!
