To what extent do you get your kids to brush their teeth?

DH currently wont let dd out of the bath till she finishes them or lets him do it. she is pretendingto cry.

Cleaning teeth in the bath sounds bizarre!
How old is she? Children can't clean their own teeth properly until roughly age 8.

dd1 is 2 and i have just worked out a great technique for getting teeth brushed!!!
we pretend she has little bugs in her mouth and she loves it when i holla at her mouth 'mrrrr buuggggg... time to go home and have your dinner!'
she usually giggles her head off whilst i furiously brush until she has had enough (usually a minute or so!) then she starts to do it herself!!!
