Hi im new on here and just wanted some advice. My ds had a nosebleed when he was 6 months old,it just started by itself.(I didnt notice until I answered the door and the lady at the door told me!!! ). Anyway ds is 3 1/2 now and has had a couple since then but very randomly.Last one was in July at a friends wedding. Again he didnt do anything - no crashing into anything, falling etc. Is this normal or should I worry and see Dr?

Dd has spates of nosebleeds - she'll go a few months without them, then have 3 in a weekend. Hers seem to come if she has been either picking her nose, and then got really stressed about something, or possibly swimming - this has caused 2. I spoke to the doctor when we were there about something else, and he said not to worry at all, they were very common (my mum had decided it was leukaemia ), so if you're worried you could just check - he didn't say it was a waste of time at all.

Thanx tortoiseshell. Our Gp makes you feel you are wasting their time no matter what is wrong! Next time we are there I might mention it. I know its probably nothing but I am a born worrier.
