I'm peeing as much blood as wee. I guess this must be a UTI but I have no other symptoms. Is this common?

Could indicate other damage to the kidneys - have you bumped your lower back lately? Either way, I think it's A+E for you.

No - you need an emergency appointment with your GP today, it sounds like you have a UTI and you need AB's.

Thanks! No, haven't bumped my back. I rang the emergency gp who was totally unconcerned and said to get some abs when my surgery opens. I have a 6 mo baby ds (not to mention two dds) and there is no way I'm going to the hospital.

Spoke on the phone to my GP - am on abs and shoudl get the results of wee sample test by the end of the week, when I need to go and see him.

Fortunately the blood has stopped.

Weird, usually you have symptoms of a UTI when you've got one. Have you eaten something red? or had any trauma? I know beets can turn your wee red.

I had the same but peeing really hurt - was definitely a UTI in my case. Was so painful that I went to A&E in the middle of the night, waited until 8am to be seen (when some registrars actually appeared in the department) and was given a prescription for antibiotics. Only went to A&E because it was bank holiday the next day and my GP was closed. TBH I drank so much water while waiting all night in A&E I'd flushed out the infection by the time I was seen.

Make sure you drink loads and loads of water just to get rid of any remaining nasties.

Thank you, I seem to be lucky as I'm not in any discomfort at all, and I have had a UTI in the past that was excruciating. I will know for certain once the test results are back. It was def. blood.
