Osteopathy - does it really make sense?

I'm thinking of taking ds to an osteopath because he is ill so much.

Now I'm normally very doubtful of alternative medicine, and I keep wondering is osteopathy really a helpful treatment, or superstition?

I have the same problem with homeopathy, because I read that homeopathic medicines don't actually contain any active ingredients.

I'd rate osteopathy higher than homeopathy, as I think osteopathy actually might do something.

But for the things I'd think osteopathy would help with, I'd go to a physio. I don't think a physio would be much use with Sebastian's problems.

Hmmm, I suspect TCM might be of use, but of course some of the things they use are dangerous, so you have to be sure you've got a good practitioner ...

Sorry, traditional Chinese Medicine - herbs etc.

I looked on the website of an osteopathy organisation and it said they could help with frequent infections and asthma, so I wondered whether to give it a try.
