what exactly do they do? my dp has been prescribed them for bell's palsy, but they just seem to have made him really moody. scared to google

they increase adrenalin which is why I think they can make you moody.

Not sure exactly what they do, but sympathies, both me and dp have been on short courses in the last couple of weeks and well the atmosphere here has been explosive at times.

here is link for medicinenet, on prednisone which it says is used to treat bell's palsy.
I was on prednisolonone which I would guess is similar.

Tip for googling - google uk medical sites and then use their search facility. Saves getting pages and pages on steriod abuse.

DS has had this for asthma. My understanding is that it reduces inflamation.
