I hit my head and I think I'm probably fine but need reassurance.

I ran up a slide and didn't duck far enough to miss the bar at the top, whacked the top of my head. This was eight days ago. It hurt for a day or two then the pain went away for a couple of days. It came back on Sunday and now seems to be sticking around. My scalp has a couple of slightly sore spots, but not so sore I expect it would cause the pain. I haven't had a headache, blurred vision, or any other signs of concussion.

I got a phone appt with my doctor but not until Friday and I don't want to be a bother to the on-duty doctor if I don't have to be...

Is anyone out there?

do bother the doctor- this would worry me too.

Yeah, the pain changed today and is sharper and more insistent so I have made a phone appointment, but it's still not until 4ish.

Health anxiety makes me not know when something is serious though and when my anxiety is just ramping it up IYSWIM.

That's good , get checked, and keep the anxiety under control with the help of the NHS.

How did it go? Hope you're ok.

Yeah, took forever to get the call. Apparently it's post-concussion syndrome (even though I never got any other signs of concussion) and it should clear up in a couple weeks.

My father in law told me about the time he hit his head and had ringing inside his head for three weeks afterwards which sounds far freakier than a bit of soreness!
