About 30ml maybe?

hatwoman · 25/11/2006 23:16

I worked it out once - I think it's something ludicrous like 15 sachets (but don;t quote me on that). I decided it wasn't worth it.

Flamesparrow · 25/11/2006 23:16

It'll work - tis just paracetamol after all

hatwoman · 25/11/2006 23:18

actually it's not that bad. 5ml is 120 mg paracetamol. I think one adult tablet is 200mg. you normally take 2 = 400 mg ie 3 and a third sachets.

ISawTortoiseKissingSantaClaus · 25/11/2006 23:19

Is that 3 and a half spoons?

OP posts:
Flamesparrow · 25/11/2006 23:20

yup - I had you on 6 spoons

jessicaandrebeccasmummy · 25/11/2006 23:21

YES!!

4 spoons - go for it. Been there, done that!

Kids nurofen is better tho!

ISawTortoiseKissingSantaClaus · 25/11/2006 23:21

I had to ring NHS Direct about this (I was pg and being v. paranoid). An equivalent adult dose of Infant Calpol is 8 x 5ml spoons. If you can swallow all of them without gagging you're a harder woman than me!

Don't know about Junior though, you need to find out what the mgs of paracetamol is per 5 ml spoon and work out the equivalent of 1000mg (2x normal paracetamol tablets) is.

HTH.

ISawTortoiseKissingSantaClaus · 25/11/2006 23:22

I have got kids nurofen i think.

OP posts:
hatwoman · 25/11/2006 23:23

yeah, when I say sachet I mean 5ml or one teaspoon. But I didn;t check what an adult is meant to take. one 5ml t-spoon calpol is 120 mg. but check what a standard adult does is. I don;t want to be resposnible! hope you feel better soon

ISawTortoiseKissingSantaClaus · 25/11/2006 23:24
