Could this be asthma?

My 3 year old dd has a very nasty cough which is much worse at night time when she lies down. It is a very dry cough & seems to cause her shortness in breath, I have also noticed that the cough comes when she's been running around & then she gets very short of breath with it. Could this be a sign of asthma?

Yes, I think so. A dry night cough can absolutely be asthma. I'd talk to your GP or HV.
