DS's Loud Smelly Farting, is there any polite way of putting it.

My ds is almost 4 mths old and from the day he was born he has always farted loudly. However, during the last few weeks we do not need to hear it because the smell engulfs us almost immediately. He has always been bf so in a way it might be something in my diet but I cant think what this might be and I have not changed my diet at all. Should this be a cause for concern especially as the smell is really bad that people assume that he has soiled himself only to find out that this is not the case. Help!

temmy, my 5mth old dd trumps a lot, and it does smell like she has pooed, for a bit, anyway.

cut back on anything 'powerful' that you eat and see if there is an improvement? ie. cabbage

ask your HV?

If he is ok, I think you have to accept it, some people got stinky butts, some not so much!
