I work in a pre-school where we have just 12 children in any session. This morning 4 were off as they'd been sick overnight and we sent 2 home who chucked up while here
Only 6 left, made for a very quiet morning. Just wonder how many more drop by tomorrow. Apparently its rife in the local schools too.

Posey · 22/11/2006 20:06

We're in N London, but its obviously not confined to here.
Sorry to hear about everyone else. Keeping my fingers crossed we don't all get it.

south manchester here...
ds2 had it for 24 hours but a boy at ds1s nursery had it for 3 days

laneydaye · 22/11/2006 20:09

still few people in sheffield have it, seems to have been going on for about 1month now. Seems to have passed through the school now so no more days off for ds..

handlemecarefully · 22/11/2006 20:09

There are usually 2 or 3 episodes of this over the winter period everywhere in the UK

(resigned sigh)

Although because mine were toughened up in Nursery when they were smaller whilst I was still working (they caught every bug going), they have strong constitutions now so it is usually 1 vom and then off to play again.

pelvicfloorSNOWmore · 22/11/2006 20:12

Rife round here too

DimpledThighs · 22/11/2006 20:24

was in Oxford a few weeks ago.

Any consolation (and if it is the same one!!!) it is short lived - DS only sick twice.

Wallace · 22/11/2006 20:30

Been there, done that End of October a quarter of all the pupils at our school were off with the bug.

Tis still doing the rounds here though. Oddly enough my mum and sister have just come down with it.

me23 · 22/11/2006 20:33

my dd had this last weekend, and I had it mondaY not nice! we're in central london.

controlfreaky2 · 22/11/2006 20:35

hi there posey! rife in my patch of n london too. dropping like flies at dss school.

Pinkchampagne · 22/11/2006 20:36

It's started doing the rounds where I live too (kent) & I am dreading the ds's coming down with it.

SlightlyMadScientist · 22/11/2006 20:53

DD3s had for it for 13 days - amost ended up in hops (only 7m). DTD1 & DP got off lighter with just 1/2 day each.

SlightlyMadScientist · 22/11/2006 20:53

Leics BTW. Apparently its been going round DTDs class.

theflumpsmum · 22/11/2006 21:00

we have the yukky tummy bug, tonsillitis and croup going round the nursery and infant school where my dd goes ..it's the one thing I hate about this time of year.

hub2dee · 22/11/2006 21:02

LOL. dd just vommed for the first time the day before yesterday, twice. We thought it was some off watermelon, but maybe it's a big bad BUG ! dd wasn't at all ill with it though. No temp, no nappy action... just a couple of light voms, mostly water infact...
