How to stop poor DS cough?

He is 4, hasn't got asthma although does have a pump which is not helping. the poor thing is coughing away in his sleep... any suggestions please??

try before he goes to sleep to steam him in the bathroom/shower that seem to help.

we got some tablets from the doc as ds1 is like that. he hasnt a diagnosis of asthma but has a history of pnemonia and 4 chest infections and does wheeze. the tablets helped

Vicks vapour rub really does help with coughs.
Not long put some on DS1 9 and he hasn't coughed since.

We put wet towels on the radiator in DS2's bedroom to stop the atmosphere being too dry, then put the radiator on low.

He is so covered in vicks already - luckily he loves it!
Off to put a damp towel out now!

a plug in vapouriser (Boots) - lasts all night - works a treat for DS

i wonder what those tablets are and what they actually do. just suprised he hasn't been given them as he's been coughing on and off all his life!!

coushions under his mattress to prop him up alittle, always do it with ds (thanks mam) and it usually works, just eases the coughing slightly good luck
