Is thee an alternative to removal of wisdom tooth?

I had 3 wisdom teeth removed s year ago. The 4th was left as very close to nerve, and they hoped it would move into the space they made by removing back molar on that side. It has grown through a bit, but is digging into the side of my cheek. Is there any alternative to removing it? Is it likely to move forward. It is now over 12 months since the others were removed.

Not a dentist, but I was under the impression that teeth naturally move forward, so there is hope in the long term!

Do you not have any aftercare with your dentist if it is causing problems?

Yes, she is watching it, am due another appt in a couple of weeks. Just wondering really, it seems to have stopped growing.
