Would you take a baby with diarrhoea to baby clinic?

if it were the only way to speak to a HV?

(My concern is not about DD3 BTW but spreading horrible bugs)

I wouldn't. I'd keep my baby at home and warm.

Could you phone before the clinic and arrange for the HV to call you back at the end of it?

MerlinsBeard · 21/11/2006 10:50

no i wouldn't. Can u ring and speak to her?

hulababy · 21/11/2006 10:52

No, in case it was passed on. If you do need to speak to the HV I would try phoning them.

poppynic · 21/11/2006 10:53

Depends how old she was, how long and how severe. Can't it be dangerous re dehydration etc?

SlightlyMadScientist · 21/11/2006 10:53

Won't answer phone - left 2 messages in 3 days still won't call back. Want to get her weighed but they are so short staffed they won't do home visits beyond 3 months. DD3 is 7 months nearly.

if its just a weigh i would wait until next week tbh

SlightlyMadScientist · 21/11/2006 11:05

Its not just a weigh (although that is a main part of it). Next clinic isn't for 3 weeks.

I was thinking of going right at the end when most/all of the other babies have gone.
