... Differin for acne.

Has anyone used this and if so, what's your experience of it?

Thanks in anticipation.

No experience, but you looked all lonely so I had to reply

zippitippitoes · 28/11/2006 08:26

my dd had a prescription for acne and it was very good..I don't know if it was the same thing, she did take it for a long time

Wuxiapian · 29/11/2006 08:09

Yes, Flamesparrow, here I am, all alone. So thanks

Zippi, can you not recall what your daughter's prescription was, not at all?

Never heard of it, but would like to take my hat off to you for having confidence to see Dr. I am now 30+ and am so down at the moment due to same problem, but won't go to Dr as I feel there must be loads of teens out there in a worse state than I. At moment I am trying this new Freederm stuff combined with various washes and facial wipes to little effect. Please let me know how things go, and hopefully if I can build some confidence I could ask for this too. How old are you by the way?? (Sympathy hug!)

You could try looking here I've found it quite a useful website.

fimble, go see your doctor!

haven't heard of differin. i use zeneryt applied topically and my skin is pretty good atm.

i don't use any strong cleansers or moisturisers just baby lotion to take makeup and water if no makup and aveeno cream to moisturise.

Hello again, peeps.

Fimble, please see your GP. Don't put it off. I did feel a little silly when I first talked to my GP about my skin, felt that he'd probably think I was wasting his time with such a "trivial" matter, but my skin was really getting me down. It got to such a point that I'd stay indoors to avoid people.
I'm almost 29, by the way.

Gp put me on Dianette a few months back and my skin has improved a little. I only use water to wash my face and Simple moisteriser.

Norks, thanks for that link.
