persistent runny nose

our dd is 15 months and has had a runny nose for the last month. Underneath her nose is so sore and red, as no matter how hard I try and keep it dry it is impossible.

Could this be hayfever? In someone so young? It has gone on so long now it is definitely not a cold, or one cold after another.

Any experience/advice much appreciated.

Dont know what causing it but for the redness keep it clean and when clean put vaseline on it. Dont put vaseline on unless clean. Thevaseline will protect the skin and stop the soreness.

thank you - but unfortunately I have been using vaseline while in the house or at night. But she just looks so ill when I put it on she looks so pathetic, I avoid doing it when we are out! Maybe I should though.

I think it just has been going on for so long and she has quite sensitive skin. poor little thing.
