One of my eyes is really sore - and bloodshot. this is me-
My job is very screenbased but I've not been doing any more than usual.
Can I do anything for it to reduce the bloodiness? (apart from, er not do my job!)
TIA

If you shut your eyes and then move your eyes around (like if you were looking from left to right and up and down) does it hurt more?

caffeinequeen · 20/11/2006 21:51

No other symptoms at all - and don't have any dcs.

Lio yes it does hurt more when I do that... is it just knackeredness?
( love that I've just come from a grammar pedantry thread and I'm using the word knackeredness!)

Is it possible you have conjunctivitis? It can be caused by make-up as well. I get a red eye from mascara.

I will apologise for grammar etc. as English is my second language.

Was that the fluffy black thread? Could be nasty having a fluffy black eye...

I only asked because I was woken up by a sore eye the other night, and it was OK except when I shut my eye, so I boiled some water, waited for it to cool (great fun at 3am) and soaked cotton wool balls in the water and sponged my eye. It didn't feel any better (in fact it stung a bit), but then when I went back to bed whatever had been on the surface of the eye had gone - I had assumed it was an infection, it was going so bloodshot, but fortunately must jsut have been a piece of crud, although I had had a good look in the mirror and couldn't see it. Then naturally dd woke up for a feed

Hope you can sleep OK

LOL at black fluffy eye.
Could just be a bit of dust or similar - will try cotton wool ball trick thanks.
