Anyone seen my daughters Missing Tooth?

Has anyone else had this?My daughter is only 12 months old and had four when she went to bed and this morning we discovered only three on the bottom. My partner and I searched everywhere but no tooth. Will it hurt her if she has swallowed it? There is no blood on her sheet, blanket, cot or mouth so I am at a loss.

Do you know if it will grow back as a new baby tooth or an adult one?

Stumped.

That's strange! She will be okay if she swallowed it. I think baby teeth can get pushed back in the gum?

funnily enough last week a tooth turned up in my ds' classroom, and it didn't seem to belong to anyone - maybe your dd's tooth took a journey through time and space!

i would call nhs direct just to be on the safe side. when ds fell over and knocked his tooth out again we couldnt find it and have to take him to the hospital for and x-ray just top rule out that he hadnt swallowed it and that it was lodged in his lungs!!! fortunatly he had knocked the tooth back up into the gum.

tbh, if is had come out she would have a visible hole where it was & there would be blood.

Was it just poking thru? If it were just a tip, it could be possible the the gum has just recovered it. How long was the tooth present in the mouth? How much was showing thru?

Dear God -

What about the Tooth Fairy?

I have a selection of spare teeth here - molars, inciscors etc, boy teeth, girl teeth of all ages (never had the heart to throw our in the bin after the tooth fairy has'been')

So if you need one, let me know and i pop one n the post!

ds1 has lost 8 teeth, haven't found a single one! I suspect he's swallowed them. God knows what he'll do with the molars- they're next.

I would check with a 12 month old though- perhaps ring your dentist tomorrow (NHS direct today??) as ds1 was losing them (and swallowing) at the right age.
