Can anyone offer advice about emergency contraception.

The deed was done in the early hours of this morning and the condom came of, it wasn't realised until later.

How would you go about getting emergency contraception on a weekend.

NHS Walk-in clinic, emergency/out of hours chemist(see local paper) or Lloyds, Boots etc ?

some family planning clinics open weekends too.
I would just call your local pharmacy and quick before they close.

Hi
You have 72 hrs but the longer you leave it the less effective ect.Or you can have a coil fitted up to 5 days after the event.
Nearly all minor and major injury or casualty departments keep it so just turn up.Or whoever your out of hours dr.s are signed up with will uaually sort you a prescription out.If your still struggling post back and i`ll find somewhere near to where you live that you can access tomorrow.

helenhismadwife · 19/11/2006 22:23

you can buy the morning after pill over the counter at most chemists, or you can get a perscription for it. As others have said the earlier it is taken the more effective it is

themoon66 · 19/11/2006 22:46

It is free if you turn up at your local Accident and Emergency Department. I know... ive had to do this twice in two different cities
