Dd (8 months) has had quite a bad cough for at least two weeks now. Its at its worst in the early morning but isn't too bad through the day.
Over the last few days it has sounded even worse and then last night she threw up her tea in bed at 2am and has been very weak and tired since. We have given her only water and a little toast since this morning (she has been sleeping most of the day).
The doctor has said her throat is very raw and that she probably has viral gastroenteritis so we should carry on with slow reintroduction of food/milk. But does any of this address the cough at all or do we just carry on waiting for that to improve by itself?
