baby has stomach bug

need advice and reassurance. dd was throwing up all food on wed night and on thurs no more puke but she has diarrhoea. today she still feeds well and i have stopped solids and she is only on breastmilk since thursday morning. she is wks and i am concerned because after every breast feed she poos and today i have changed 6 nappies with poo which is unusual for her as she usually only went once every 3 days. how long will this last and when should i start solids again? any advice is appreciated thanks.

How many weeks is she? She'll be fine on bm until she feels better in herself. Don't worry about the nappies, I did 10 in one morning when ds last had a bout of diarrhoea.

i read on here that carrot soup will really help a tummy bug in about 24 hours good luck hope shes well soon

I think the recommendation is 24 hours on fluids only and then try basic foods like BRAT? Can't remember what these stand for though - think the B is for banana. Someone else will come along who knows better. Hope dd and your washing machine recover soon from the experience!!!
