advice on tummy bugs and pregnancy

im 14weeks and have not stopped throwing up since early hours this morning, ds had it on wednesday.

the only things im worried about is

1. im only bringing up the bile/vile and water im drinking, each time water passes my lips im barfing again

and 2)all this sickness will it hurt the baby as my stomach muscles are really hurting me and im convinced im squashing and hurting the baby each time im sick.

Hi sorry to hear you are ill! I am not really sure and if it were me would be inclined to ring midwife just for reassurance - but i'm guessing that all will be fine - after all - many women suffer with bad morning sickness that doesn't affect their babes don't they?

i actually had a sicness bug when 8 months preg with ds2 and couldnt keep anything down. water came back, like you. called mw and she told me baby would still get what it needed and not to worry. the barfing wont hurt the baby. dont forget your womb is a huge strong muscle and the baby is very small still, nicely tucked away, and im sure, totally oblivious to anything going on.
