i need to take ds to doctors for suspected urine infection (high temp, not eating, grabing willy v tired but not sleeping) - any ideas on collecting a sample, will he get antibitics without sample, and how do they get urine infection in the first place?

will he go on the potty and then you can do some careful pouring into a container?

Failing that, it's nappy off and chasing him round with a bowl to catch it!

Good luck!

if you use cotton nappies could you bring in a wet nappy?

The doctors actually gave me what looked like a piece of card with a bag attached.. you stick on will and then put it in nappy... perhaps you can construct something similar?

thanks for your suggestions, didnt get one in time for the appointment, so have been trying since, but then called back and spoke to a different doctor, as his hands had gone purple and he said more likely flu than urine infection, and not to upset him too much with sample, so nappy back on! wish id know that 4 sample chasing hours earlier, but never mind.
thanks again
