Dh saw a consultant today, who thinks that the swelling in the stomach is fluid. He will not comit himeself to a cause. He wants dh admitted for a ct scan tomorrow, and possible teatment depending on what they find. He doesn't think it is the leukemia

I know enough to know there are lots of causes, and lots of them are bad.

think kind thoughts

I really hope it's 'just one of those things' and can be easily sorted out.

MB, I am so very sorry.

tamum · 16/11/2006 20:10

Oh shit. Shit. I am so, so sorry- I won't patronise you by suggesting possible benign causes. There are better possibilities, aren't there, but you must be out of your mind with worry. I am thinking very, very kind, positive thoughts of you both and wish I could give you a proper hug.

MB - my thoughts are with you and your DH. I hope he is scanned tomorrow so that you can stop thinking the worst and concentrate on overcoming whatever they find. All good wishes heading your way..

boboggglimpopo · 16/11/2006 20:44

Shit MB. I think, reading between the lines, that you have been worried for a little while - at leas tyou will have some answers now and be able to focus on the positive, rather than the nebulous.

Have the wine on chill for seeing you next summer....

Blandmum · 16/11/2006 20:47

THanks for all the kind thought. I 've been worried about this seriously for the last month or so.

We'll find out if he has a bed tomorrow morning, and I have taken the day off work, so I can go with him.

Ironically he is better today than he has been for quite a while.
