Stabbing ache on left side of uterus area

I am in the perimenopause and missed 7 months then had a heavy period two weeks ago (4 days) then an extremely heavy one this week (couldn't leave the house one day). I am coming toward the end of this now.

I've been left with a regular stabbing pain (but not very painful) on the left side of my uterus. Every couple of minutes it hurts a little then goes....until the next time. And so it repeats.

Any ideas what it might be?

Sounds like it could be a cyst. They can be painful, especially when they burst (Sorry if TMI) I'd get it checked.

Thanks. It's really weird because I've been lying here for over an hour now, watching Glastonbury, and it's really quite regular. Not getting better nor any worse at moment.

I'll get an appointment next week - after all by then it would-be three days which isn't right.
